I am sometimes asked why I am interested in antioxidants. It is really very simple. We live in an age where we have become used to the easy way out. To TV dinners, fast food, frozen goods and whatever can make our lives easier. And yet we all know that taking the easy way out will usually come with a price. Our health cannot be separated from what we eat. Fresh and natural food are so obviously good for us that it is a wonder we don’t do something more proactive about it.
Antioxidants are found in fresh food – fruits, vegetables, greens in general, as well as in nuts, meat, chicken and sea food.
A healthy body and a healthy mind means having a balanced life. The first thing we need is to be aware that all extremes, including extreme production of food, can be harmful or at the least, not good enough.
On top of it all, I enjoy food, and more than anything else fresh food. So i can keep healthier, enjoy my food and all in all live a better life.
So to answer the question, why antioxidants? I say Why not?
